CDMD.CO.UK We are a passionate, volunteer-led metal detecting group united by a love of history, community, and giving back. We focus on quality over quantity, holding quarterly digs that are well-organised, inclusive, and built around a strong sense of camaraderie. Our core mission is to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance, and we’re proud to say that every event we run contributes directly to this vital cause. Our annual Christmas raffle is a highlight of the year, bringing together detectorists from all over to support lifesaving work while celebrating our shared hobby. We believe in collaboration. Our focus is on creating something meaningful, sustainable, and community-driven. We’re always open to working with other groups with the same ethos as us, and believe there’s room for everyone in this hobby — especially when it’s for a good cause. Whether you're new to metal detecting or a seasoned pro, you’re welcome here. Join us in building something that lasts — CDMD is not just a group, but a community. Established in 2020 as a place for Metal Detectorists to show their finds, ask for ID help, help one another in the hobby and talk anything metal detecting. Our digs are well organised with registration and food tent on site and Marshals in the field. In December 2021 we were one of the first metal detecting groups to purchase our very own defibrillator.
